Jackson Breaks Silence on Chelsea Future as Club Reshapes

Nicolas Jackson has broken his silence as transfer rumours continue to circulate around his future at Chelsea. The 23-year-old, who joined from Villarreal last summer, is one of the new boys in the shop window as the Blues re-model their strike force for the 2025/26 campaign.

Jackson ended his first season with 17 goals in all competitions, a healthy number but garnering criticism for being too inconsistent in his finishing. Chelsea have already brought in João Pedro, Liam Delap, and defensive wonderkid Jorrel Hato. They also plan to add more attack-minded players, including Xavi Simons. Naturally, questions have arisen about Jackson’s future role under new manager Enzo Maresca.

“I have no competition” — Jackson responds boldly

And in a calm but assertive tone, the message was delivered by Jackson earlier in pre-season: “I’m a Chelsea player. The future belongs to God. If there are any changes, you’ll know. For now, I’m focused on my preparation.”

He didn’t stop there. Addressing internal competition, Jackson added: “Competition? I have no competition. We’re all here to help the club. Everyone has their role to play. I’m on a mission. It’s up to the coach to make his choices. I focus solely on my work.”

His rhetoric is one of a man with his feet on the ground and an iron self-belief, hoping for another opportunity to lead Chelsea’s attack. Club sources say Maresca has closely assessed all his forward options in training, with Jackson pushing hard to earn his place and elevate his output once again.

Chelsea yet to finalise striker plans for the new season

While Chelsea continue to work in the transfer market, they haven’t handed Nicolas Jackson a free pass—club sources say they will consider selling him if a big offer arrives, with some valuations edging towards £100m. What’s more his pressing, running and tactical versatility continue to lend good value to Maresca and his ever-developing blueprint.

Unless Chelsea acquire a top-line striker inside the next few weeks, or opt to cash in on him, Jackson will be the point man – focused, fired up and evidently on a mission.
