Arsenal keeping tabs on Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz. The PL and CL winner is yet to sign a new contract with the Los Blancos.
Arsenal monitoring Madrid star Brahim Diaz
Arsenal have added Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz to their summer list. At the moment, the midfielder’s future isn’t set at Bernabeu.
The playmaker has previously played in the EPL with Manchester City. He has not signed a new deal at Madrid even though promises have been reportedly made to reach an agreement. The Los Blancos star has a contract until 2027. But, there seems to be some concern with his long-term future, as per Football Espana.
Diaz has won Club World Cup and UCL in 2023. He also has the PL medals when he played in England at Man City. However, he has not established regularity with minutes in Spain. If he continues in the manner he has initiated the year, he may be open to a new challenge. Arsenal and AC Milan have been following the news closely.
Gunners consider midfield options
Diaz has previously enjoyed a good loan spell at Milan. He has shown when he gets a run in the team, he can produce consistently. Another creative midfielder may still be the plan for Arsenal this market.
Martin Odegaard’s recent dip in form could give Mikel Arteta the opportunity to bring in a new option. The Madrid star has flair and experience on the big stage. He might be able to offer the Gunners something new in attack.
Before any serious conversations can happen, the Gunners will likely have to sell few players from their squad. A few team members will be leaving in the next few weeks. That would leave room for signings like Diaz to be considered.
For now, the North London club are keeping their eye on the player. They would jump at the opportunity to act if the situation presents itself.
