Real Madrid offer €65 million to sign Chelsea & Liverpool target

Real Madrid have made an initial offer of €65 million to sign young defender in summer window. They now lead the race to sign the player ahead of both Chelsea and Liverpool.

Madrid are keen to add some key defenders to their squad in summer. Their full priority is on the backline and hence they will could be seen spending big on defenders. As of now, William Saliba is their top target but it will be very hard for them to sign him in summer.

Los Blancos also have eye on Castello Lukeba from RB Leipzig. He is 22 years old and has been attracting interest from multiple clubs across whole Europe. As far as English football is concerned, he is looked upon by Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Blues also have defensive signings as the club’s top priority. They are willing to sign atleast 2 defenders with Marc Guehi and Dean Huijsen their top targets. But, they may also go for Lukeba who has been linked with them since long-time.

Liverpool are planning for a future without Virgil van Dijk. The Dutchman can renew his contract this season but will still need replacement in coming years. Lastly, there are doubts over Ibrahima Konate’s future at Anfield.

Real Madrid take lead in the race to sign Castello Lukeba

According to Fichajes, Los Blancos has made an initial bid of €65 million to sign Castello Lukeba. This gives them lead in the race above other interested clubs. Chelsea and Liverpool will both view this as a blow in their pursuit.

However, Leipzig may reject the bid due to the transfer fee offered by Madrid. Lukeba has €90 million release clause in his contract and the German club wants it to be paid fully. Madrid will still have lot of time to go again with improved bid if the current is turned down.
