Rio Ferdinand wants the Red Devils to go for Salah. Mohamed Salah, the Premier League legend, seems to be facing problems with Liverpool. The player has been publicly expressing his problems with the club. The Egyptian player is having issues with the Reds’ manager. He feels the club hasn’t supported him and even said he was “thrown under the bus.” Because of this, there are growing talks that he could leave if things don’t get better.
Why Rio Ferdinand said so?
Salah signed a two-year contract in April, but things haven’t gone well since then. There are now talks about him leaving in January, especially after being dropped from the starting lineup for the past few weeks, which is frustrating for a player of his level.
Even after delivering well, the manager still benched him. Salah claims that his relationship with the coach had completely broken down. He feels the club is not giving him the respect he deserves. The player has done so much for the club and is the Liverpool legend who led the club to various victories. The club has spent €482.9 million on six new players, but the performance is going down.
Salah’s disbelief.
Critics say the manager doesn’t seem to know what he is doing. He is changing the starting lineup after every match. The Egyptian gave in to a seven-and-a-half-minute interview on Saturday. He claimed that he has been portrayed as the problem for the club.
The player said he is in disbelief that he was kept on the bench for the whole 90 minutes. He also adds, “That’s the third time. It’s the first time in my career, I think. Very disappointed, having done so much for this club over the years, especially last season. It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That’s how I feel about it.
“Someone wants me to get all the blame. The club promised me a lot in summer. Now I’m on the bench, so I can say they haven’t kept those promises. I used to have a good relationship with Slot. Now we don’t have any relationship, and I don’t know why. It seems like someone does not want me in the club.
The former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said on the situation that “I don’t see Mohamed Salah playing for Liverpool next season. The big thing in my mind is whether we are going to see him from now until the end of the season. I think he’d really regret leaving.”
Rio Ferdinand: What did he mean?
The former Man United player urged the club to sign the Egyptian star from Liverpool. It was more in a joking manner but looking at how things are going on in Liverpool, this is not the right time to claim anything.
Rio Ferdinand, in a playful tone, said, “There’s no way Mo Salah goes to Man United. I don’t think he’s got that trait in him that Wayne Rooney or Carlos Tevez had where he goes the extra mile.
“But yeah, I would make an offer, a public one as well! It would be unbelievable, wouldn’t it? It would be a joke.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that the Liverpool players don’t want Mohamed Salah to leave because he helps them win trophies.
“But I think he’s gone; it’s gone too far. Salah clearly thinks the manager has an ulterior motive and wants him out of the club.”
The unsure future.
Many big clubs from Saudi Arabia are also showing interest in the Premier League legend. But the future remains unpredictable, as some believe that Salah should stay, and some believe that the club is doing wrong to him and he should say his farewell to the British club.
