Romano Shares an Update on Donnarumma Move

Fabrizio Romano shares an update on PSG’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma may not go down well with Man United fans.

Romano reveals no PL club chasing Donnarumma right now

Despite the talk in recent times, Gianluigi Donnarumma is not speaking to Manchester United or Chelsea, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Various reports hinted that the PSG star could be making the move to the Premier League. Given that, fans from both clubs were getting easily carried away. However, Romano has burnt those hopes by stating there are no talks or negotiations at all happening right now.

The Red Devils and the Blues have been searching the market for a number one. This comes after there was inconsistent seasons for Andre Onana and Robert Sanchez. Donnarumma’s shot stopping and ability to remain calm under pressure would have represented the dream move. However, that dream currently isn’t happening at the moment.

PSG keeper focused on club, not England

Donnarumma was one of PSG’s standout performers last season as the French giants claimed a treble under Luis Enrique. Meanwhile, the Italian keeper hasn’t yet signed a new deal with PSG. But, Romano insists there is no movement suggesting he’s leaving.

Both Man United and Chelsea are likely to keep their eyes on the goalkeeper market this summer. That said a big signing could still be on the cards this window. But if fans were expecting Donnarumma to walk into Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge soon, they’ll be disappointed. He remains an admired name, but not an active target.

As things stand, the buzz was just a buzz. There was no action behind the scenes from any of the clubs. Man Utd and Chelsea might still pull a big move out of this summer transfer window. But, one thing is clear that it won’t be Donnarumma for sure.
