Alexis Sanchez joined Arsenal from Barcelona. The Chilean international gained a lot of attention with his time at Spanish club. In 2014, Arsenal signed Sanchez for £31.7 million according to Wikipedia. Before arriving to England, Sanchez won six titles with Spanish giants. As a result, Gunners had huge expectations from him and Sanchez surely didn’t disappoint. Sanchez made 122 Premier League appearances for Gunners and scored 60 times for them.

In 2016/17 season Sanchez was unstoppable. He managed to score 24 goals and provide 10 assists throughout the season. Sanchez was surely one of the best players in the world. Manchester United were monitoring him and decided to make a move in January 2018. Sanchez who had already played 19 league matches in 2017/18 season decided to join the club’s rivals. The arrival of Sanchez to Old Trafford was followed by departure of Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal. United fans were very happy at the time with Sanchez’s arrival. However the happiness was short lived as the Chilean international failed miserably to continue the high quality form he had with Arsenal.

On the other hand, Mkhitaryan scored 9 goals and provide 13 assists for Arsenal. Arsenal got the better end of the deal over United. However both Arsenal and United fans are disappointed with both the players. Sanchez and Mkhitaryan currently play together in Italy for Inter Milan.

How was Sanchez at Man United

Sanchez became a new Red Devil in January 2018. However he was not seen at his best ever since his arrival. As a result, he was later sent on loan spell to Inter Milan whom he signed for after his time at United.

Alexis Sanchez was one of the best players in the world when he was at Arsenal. The Chilean international won two FA cups for Arsenal along with one community shield. He even had the time of his career at that time with Chile national team. Sanchez won back to back Copa America titles with Chile. However, signing for United made his career dip downwards.

Sanchez only managed to score five goals for Red Devils out of which three came in Premier League. Sanchez was left out of the squad for the first time ever in his career in 2018. The Chilean’s United trophy cabinet is empty as they lost the FA Cup final to Chelsea.

What exactly did Sanchez say

Alexis Sanchez after arriving at Inter revealed that he wanted to exit United only month after signing for them. The Chilean international said that he was thrilled to join the best club in the world at the time of his unveiling. Sanchez was first Chilean player ever to play for the Red Devils of which he was very proud. However over the time his views changed and he wanted a quick exit.

Later, after a month as a United player, the Chilean international came to know about the environment at the club. He called his agent and asked wheter he can rip the contract and take him back at Arsenal. However the contract was signed and Sanchez was already an official Red Devil. The 35 year old winger said that he felt the team was lacking unity. He said sometimes you don’t get to know everything until you go there and the same thing happened with him. United’s board and unity is seriously questionable as it has been criticized by many of the football greats.
