Sesko set for a £73.7m move to Old Trafford

Manchester Utd agree £73.7m deal to bring Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig to Old Trafford, as per Fabrizio Romano.

United beat rivals to land striker

Manchester United have finally pulled off the signing of Benjamin Sesko, making a £73.7m agreement with RB Leipzig.

The Red Devils cleared off strong interest from Newcastle United and other PL clubs to get their man. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano gave his famous “Here We Go” confirmation as well. This marks the end of a long pursuit that began over a year ago.

The forward chose to stay at Leipzig at the time, scoring 21 goals across 45 appearances last season. Now, United is in need of firepower, Sesko is set to swap the Bundesliga for Old Trafford.

The agreement will see Man Utd pay an up-front fee of £66.3m and a further £7.3m in add-ons. Fans can already feel the buzz around as one of Europe’s top young strikers prepares to join the squad.

What Sesko brings to Old Trafford

At just 22, Sesko has sharp movement, aerial strength, and cool finishing. That made him a threat for defenders in Germany and Austria. There, he rose to prominence at RB Salzburg before stepping up to Leipzig.

For head coach Ruben Amorim, the signing represents an entirely new attacking boost. He is a forward who can stretch defenses, pressure players aggressively and finish those chances clinically. The PL offers an entirely new challenge for the young forward. But, his talent suggest he is well suited to hit the ground running in the league.

Fans have been longing for a statement signing, and this deal delivers exactly that. The countdown begins for Sesko’s debut in red. Man Utd will be hoping he can become the striker to lead them back to the top of English football.
