Slavia Prague voice frustration after Arsenal’s dominant win

After a 3-0 UCL loss, Slavia Prague expressed frustration over Arsenal’s tactics during the match.

Frustration grows after one-sided contest

Arsenal kept their fine European form remained intact. They won against Slavia Prague 3-0 on Tuesday in the UCL. Although, the Czech side left feeling more angry than satisfied.

The players of Slavia felt that the match was not managed properly. They blamed the North London side for slowing the pace of the game as soon as the team got the upper hand. The team’s skipper Luka Provod showed his displeasure after the game as well. He also suggested that the referee should have taken some action as Arsenal was delaying the game in the dying minutes.

The penalty given which led to the first goal was another area of dispute. The contact by Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes seemingly hit Provod’s arm prior to winger Bukayo Saka finding the back of the net from the spot with ease.

Slavia Prague questions refereeing

Even with their issues with the game, Provod praised the North London club’s quality. He admitted that Slavia’s tempo and precision were hardly matched. But, at the same time, he insisted that the referee had a role in the game again. Slavia’s frustration makes complete sense, however, Arsenal simply outclassed them.

Regardless of what they say, their form itself was a very good sign that Arteta’s side is already halfway to the top of the Europe.

On the other hand, it was a reminder for Slavia of how slight margins and ref decisions can turn the scale in high-class football.

Author’s opinion:

Slavia’s doubts are quite logical, although, Arsenal came out on top of them. In spite of the doubts, the display was a clear sign that the North London team is ready to fight for titles.
