Bayern Munich are exploring the possibility of signing Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard this summer.
The German giants are now under new boss Vincent Kompany. They are on the hunt for fresh firepower on the wings. Their primary target has been Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. But, the talks dragging on and Liverpool are reluctant to sell. So, Bayern are now looking at other options.
That’s where Trossard steps in. The Belgian had a great 2024/25 season with 10 goals and 10 assists. His performance and ability to play in different places across the front line have got a lot of eyes on him. He is a great fit for how Bayern play. His adaptability and clever linking play, makes him a decent option.
Agent Switch Fuels Transfer Buzz
What adds fuel to the transfer talk is Trossard’s recent change in agents. Earlier this month, he signed with German representative Dirk Hebel. Hebel has strong ties within the Bundesliga. The change in agent could help smooth any future talks between Arsenal and Bayern.
Although, Trossard hasn’t forced a move from North London. But, his future at the Emirates may depend on how Mikel Arteta changes the squad. New arrivals are likely going to push him down the pecking order. So, then a move to one of the biggest sides in Europe seems more sensible.
However, Bayern has only just displayed an interest in the player. But , there is still some uncertainty surrounding Diaz. So, Trossard is fast becoming a serious target on their radar for now.
Whether a formal offer will be made is yet to be seen. But, the German champions clearly admire what the Belgian brings to the table.
