West Ham going big in this transfer market

West Ham United

West Ham are not joking this summer. They want to go all out this summer transfer window. They are very much serious this season on whom to sell and whom to sign.

After the hammers finished 9th in the league table with no European competition to play this season, the board sacked long time manager David Moyes. Julen Lopetegui is the new manager of West Ham after David Moyes. He is very much focused on improving his team and is observing the transfer market very carefully.

There are some rumours stating that Lopetegui has already decided on some players whom he would like to sell this summer. The list includes some of the big names inside the club and the fans are not ready for this.

West Ham and their transfer situation

West Ham are planning to sign at least seven players this summer. The hammers signed Luis Guilherme as their first signing. The young Brazilian has been a key target of West Ham. He could be a replacement for Mohammed Kudus.

The signing of Guilherme sparked a rumour that the Ghanian winger could be sold this summer. It is believed that the Saudi clubs are very much interested in signing Kudus from West Ham. There is a £85m release clause on him right now. The clause will activate next summer.

Karim Benzema’s club Al Ittihad are very much interested in signing Kudus. However, the board has stated that there is no club in the Saudi who can afford Mohammed Kudus.

Situation between West Ham and Kilman

The board of the hammers and Lopetegui are focused on rebuilding the defense as a whole. They are thinking of signing new central backs who are solid and consistent. In the previous season, the defense wasn’t up to the mark due to which West Ham finished the season with a negative goal difference. Their top target for the central back position is Wolves’ captain Max Kilman. It is reported that they are ready to make a second offer to Wolves after the first got rejected. Their first offer was £25m which got rejected. Now they are planning to offer £45m for the Wolves’ captain.

Max Kilman may also want to join the hammers and right now, he earns roughly £50k per week whereas players of West Ham earn almost thrice his wage. Money could be an influential factor for the 27 year old defender.

Manchester United are also targeting Edson Alvarez . The Reds plan on signing Alvarez as a replacement for Casemiro. However, there aren’t any talks between the two clubs regarding him till now.
