West Ham join the race to sign Chelsea target in summer

West Ham United have joined the race to sign 24 year old striker this summer. The player has been recently linked with a move to Chelsea. He can be a good addition to any of the interested Premier League clubs.

The star in question here is Victor Boniface who plays for Bayer Leverkusen. He is 24 years old and plays as striker. Boniface has been with Leverkusen since last season. In his first season with them, he helped the club to win Bundesliga for first time ever.

Boniface had a superb last season. He played 34 games and in those, he was able to register 21 goals and 9 assists. He has also been very good this season and has so far scored 10 goals along with 1 assist in 19 games.

Boniface was linked with a move away from Leverkusen in January. He was close to join Al-Nassr but the deal eventually failed. The Saudi side ended up signing Jhon Duran and hence Boniface had to stay at Leverkusen.

However, the 24 year old will be very likely on move once again in summer. He was linked with Chelsea recently. Fichajes reported that the Blues are planning to spend €70 million to sign him in summer. But, they are now joined by their London rivals in the race.

Boniface can be a great addition to both Chelsea and West Ham. The 24 year old can be easily convinced by a move to Premier League. The Blues will have upper hand in spending money but Hammers can offer more game-time to Boniface.
