Well, there is no clear-cut answer to this question till now. Virgil Van Dijk is currently on international duty with the Netherlands in the Euro 2024. Till now no official transfer details come out from any clubs. Anyway, his future will be decided after the end of June. Van Dijk previously answered questions about his future shortly after the announcement of Klopp’s departure in January. The 32-year-old said,

That’s a big question. Well, I don’t know. That is correct – good maths.

Listen, I don’t know. The club will have a big job on their hands, that is well known. To replace the manager and replace not only the manager, the staff is leaving, and there are so many things that will change.

So the club has a big job on its hands and I am very curious which direction that will go in. But when that will be announced we will see our situation, I can’t say now.”

As Virgil Van Dijk made no clear answer about his future in Anfield, the Dutchman always can leave the Reds in the summer. Several Liverpool players joined Saudi Arabian clubs in recent years, like Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane. So, the question remains, will the Dutch international also follow the same path?
