This had all the potential to be a great ride! The fraternalists of the town played with all their heart. They ran with the ball; they tackled; they even scored some goals worthy of applause! That crowd cheered with every kick, every save.
An Unhappy Turn of Events: A Grimsby Town Error
Hereunto the sad turn of the tale. A problem had arisen after the match. Something was amiss with the players! One surely must not have been allowed to play in the game! It was a registration error. This is akin to registering for a game but neglecting to put your name on the list.
What Does Registration Mean?
Registration is a Basic Signup for Joining a Team. You have to make sure that everyone in your team who is going to play in the game is, in fact, theoretically allowed to do so and that everything is done properly. Then it will be the responsibility of the team to inform the league or whoever is in charge of the game as to who is playing in it. If not done properly, however, the infringement will be considered as having been committed by the team.
The Bad News For Grimsby Town
Having played well, Grimsby Town must quite possibly forgo a win on the grounds of a technicality with the registration. It is like having worked hard for a school project and failing to be acknowledged because one forgot to put a name on his/her paper. So are the harsh realities of life. The governing elders of the cup competition have to now decide- to order a replay or allow Manchester United to proceed into the next stage.

This story and the registration error stand as lessons, especially to Grimsby Town. Hopefully, Grimsby Town has learned from it, so from now on, they will not leave anything to chance-will continue being a good side, at least in the coming years, and maybe meet Manchester United again someday!
