Minteh is wanted by big names

19-year-old Yankuba Minteh of Newcastle United is one of the most talked youngsters right now in the summer transfer market. The Ghanian winger is in high demand right now.

Minteh recently came back to Newcastle after a loan spell at Dutch club Feyenoord. The 19-year-old helped his team finish 2nd this season in the Eredivisie. The winger was under the newly appointed manager of Liverpool, Arne Slot. Minteh performed excellent scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists in 37 appearances for Feyenoord. At the age of 19, contributing to 17 goals is brilliant statistic in itself. This made the board of Newcastle to think about the future of the Ghanian winger.

Eddie Howe wants to see how he plays for the Magpies. He has decided to include Minteh in the squad for their pre-season tour. They will be travelling to Japan and play against AFC Champions League winners Urawa Red Diamonds and Yokohama F. Marinos. The Newcastle manager wants to try Minteh out in these matches and see if he can play him or loan or permanently sell him.

Selling Yankuba Minteh could also help the Magpies gain profit. Right now, many known clubs are interested in signing him.

Clubs interested on Yankuba Minteh

With his incredible form last season, Minteh has attracted many big clubs all over Europe. Football reporter Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Roma and Daniel De Rossi are very much interested in Minteh. The Magpies have a set a price tag of £25 million for Yankuba Minteh. If they actually sell him with that price, then Newcastle will earn a profit of £19 million.

However, another report says that Yankuba Minteh is a key target for German giants and Champions League finalist last season Borussia Dortmund. They consider this deal as a replacement of Marco Reus and a long-term investment. Alongside Dortmund, French club Olympique Lyon are also keeping an eye on the winger. According to Fabrizio Romano, Lyon are working hard on pushing the player and convincing him to agree the personal terms.

But he has also reported that Ghanian does not want to leave the Premier League. His wish is to play in the Premier League. That’s why even after getting so many lucrative offers from big teams, his priority is to play for the Blue side of Merseyside, that is, for Everton. The Toffees are also stepping up their game so that they could sign the young winger and solve their problems with wingers.
