Yankuba Minteh’s future at Newcastle United is uncertain as the summer transfer window approaches. The 19-year-old Gambian winger has returned from his season-long loan spell at Dutch club Feyenoord and has the opportunity to showcase his talent to Newcastle boss Eddie Howe. There have been various names that have come up with the intension of buying Yankuba Minteh. However, Newcastle have clearly stated that they are not ready to permanently sell him but instead carry out another loan spell.
According to MagpieMedia – via X, clubs like Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig have approached Newcastle regarding a season long loan deal for the 2024/25 season. Other clubs like PSV, Feyenoord and Bologna, where Yankuba Minteh has spent most of his time have also shown a keen interest in loaning the 19 years old Gambian winger. However, for now, Dortmund and Leipzig are the only two sides that have approached.
Liverpool F.C are not going to make a move for Minteh even though he has played under the newly appointed manager Arne Slot at Feyenoord. The Reds are not going to sign Yankuba Minteh neither on a permanent spell nor on a loan deal.
The youngster has garnered interest mainly from teams in the Bundesliga. However, if he excels during the Japan tour, it could capture the attention of Eddie Howe and Newcastle.
