About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Juventus, Manchester United, and Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Gianluigi Donnarumma. While AC Milan are trying to persuade their highly-rated goalkeeper to extend his contract but Donnarumma has other plans.

Due to the sudden traffic of interest in Donnarumma, the swap deal between AC Milan and Juventus for center-back Alessio Romagnoli and winger Federico Bernardischi has been put on hold. The Serie A giants are trying to negotiate a deal that they feel will suit everyone.

Donnarumma is having an average season notching 9 clean sheets in 32 Serie A games. His contract expires by the end of June 2021 and Milan have a task to convince him to stay. They are for looking for other options as well.

Donnarumma wants to leave Milan

Mino Raiola has reportedly rejected AC Milan’ offer to extend his client Donnarumma’ contract. The Rossoneri seemed to have offered €7 million + €1 million in bonuses for 5 years with a release clause of €30-35 million if they did not qualify for the Champions League.

Raiola is however pushing for €12 million a season. At 22, the vice captain is looking for a bigger challenge and clubs like Chelsea or Juventus will be ideal.

The Bianconeri are looking for a center-back as Mehir Demiral’s exit seems evitable. And AC Milan want to bolster their attack and want to push for the title next season. They have already secured an extension for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract. and so the Bernardischi-Romagnoli swap deal would have worked perfectly for both sides.

Manchester United have Dean Henderson and David de Gea and it will take some serious effort to shine above them. Chelsea have Kepa and Eduardo Mendy but are still in search of a goalkeeper.

The former NXGN contender is set to have a busy summer with some very big clubs vying for his signature and trying to get him at the back of their net.
