John McGinn, Aston Villa captain, recently revealed in a talk that he was amazed by the talented Morgan Rogers.Morgan caught mcginns eye in the first training session. Rogers joined Aston Villa in the winter transfer window from Middlesbrough.

Aston Villa signed the young Englishman for just £8 million. The 21-year-old has been impressing since joining, with a lot of key moments for the club.

He has been a part of the Aston Villa first team 10 times and has impressed. Rogers has already made an impact in the race for Champions league qualification for Villa.

Mcginn said in an exclusive,

“His confidence is growing; he’s so strong, so powerful, he’s even surprised me a bit when he first signed and his first time in training.”

“But the last three or four games, he’s been outstanding. That’s great to see; he’s playing football with a smile on his face, and I wish I was that good at his age.”

Rogers has been seeing a lot of game time due to the injury to Jacob Ramsey. Although no one expected him to play so much this early, he certainly looks the part. Due to this, he has been one of the only option down the left flank for Aston Villa. He has been a key player for Emery in recent weeks and will continue to be until the end of the season.

McGinn continued,

“There are a lot of players who have not been used to this kind of season,” McGinn added. “I played a 60-plus game season with Hibs five or six years ago. And it was actually good.

“It wasn’t easy but you get in a rhythm. This stage of the season can be difficult the other way around, when you have Saturday and nothing to play for. That’s when the motivation drops sometimes. But we have everything to play for.

“We will hopefully get some players back soon. I don’t know about that; I’ve been too busy to notice, but we have the legs, we proved it, and we have the speed, power, and hunger to keep going. Hopefully, we will carry on.”

It will be nice to see Rogers meteoric rise in Aston Villa colours in the coming weeks in the Premier League.  Rogers will look to make his name at the club. He has impressed a lot of fans already.
