Furthermore, Barcelona started their first half against Atletico on the front foot. With Alves scoring his first goal for Barcelona against Atletico post his return. Even so, Atletico tried their best to get back in the game with Suarez scoring against his former team. But a bitter taste came when Alves received a red card for an unnecessary challenge.
Moreover, Atletico tried their best to take the opportunity but failed. Even after getting 6 minutes of added time Simeone’s side couldn’t take advantage.
