The great Midfielder:Sandhiya Ranganathan From Tamil Nadu

Sandhiya Ranganathan was born on May 20 1996 who plays as a Midfielder for the  India women’s national football team and also for Sethu FC in the Indian Women’s League. She is an Indian professional football player from Tamil Nadu. Her position was Forward and her number is 7. She was currently playing for the Sethu FC. She is an athlete and Football player.

Sandhiya Faced many struggles in her life:

She lost her father at her younger age and she lives in an orphanage and meets her once a month. But this game football had a turning point in her life. The beautiful game had helped her as the Indian Midfielder which takes her to join sports in school. After she plays for her game-category competition she made her debut for the Indian National team in 2018. This was a challenging experience for Sandhiya.

 AT her age 22, Sandhiya is one of India’s most promising players of the team. She has been a prolific scorer for both the national team and her club Sethu FC. Indian Women’s League has helped me a lot in my career. I was able to play against the best Indian players and improve my game. It also helped the coaches recognise my talent and get the senior national team call-up.Now that she has aced the difficulties of her life, Sandhiya wants to improve and follow Ngangom Bala Devi’s footsteps to play in Europe.

Career of Sandhiya Ranganathan:

She won the first national title with Sethu’s last edition of the Indian Women’s League. She scored her first goal in 2018 in the COTIF Women’s Football Tournament. Then she scored her second goal against Sri Lanka the 2019 SAFF Women’s Championship in March 2019. In the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Round 2 she scored another important goal for the national team against Nepal in April 2019.
