Going into the second half the game was managed by Manchester United, but the red devils couldn’t score a goal. However, in 89th minute United substitute and West Ham former player Jesse Lingard scored the second goal for Manchester United. The winger made a shot from the left side in the box to the right top corner. It was the winner for United, but the match would have a draw if Mark Noble had scored the penalty.
The Hammers were gifted a penalty in the five minutes extra time as Luke Shaw handballed inside the penalty box. But Mark Noble couldn’t grab the opportunity as he couldn’t score the penalty against David de Gea. Following this, Lingard’s goal was the winner for Manchester United.
