Man United are in talks to replace Ten Hag with German manager

Manchester United

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking for a replacement for Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman is believed to have run his course at the club. They are looking at German manager Thomas Tuchel. Although Ten Hag has brought a FA Cup to Old Trafford, his stint at Man United has been underwhelming. They believed he could turn around their bad form. He has brought about some good changes. However, they have not been enough to satisfy Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Man United fans. The Man United administration haven’t made a decision on how long Ten Hag will stay at Old Trafford.

Man United considering Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel would be keen on the post should United decide to move on from Ten Hag. Thomas Tuchel’s tenure as Bayern Munich’s manager is drawing to an end. The Bavarian giants could still win Europe at the end of the year, despite a terrible Bundesliga season. Although he did not look convincing, a lot of fans believe in him. His Champions League runs have been great in the past. He is one of those managers no one would hate to have at their club.

According to the report, Tuchel is willing to speak with Manchester United should Ten Hag decide to leave. Regarding Tuchel, however, the fan base might not be excited. Nearly ten years have passed since the German managed over 130 games at a different club. He might not be the long-term answer they’re looking for. Everything said, he is a manager with a lot of Champions League experience. They would look back on his season with Chelsea, when he led a pretty inexperienced squad to European glory. Therefore, should Ten Hag’s contract expire this summer, it would definitely make sense for United to look at Tuchel. It will surely be interesting to see him at the Old Trafford.
