Odisha FC’s George D’Souza is starting in I-League

Odisha FC had come to an agreement with Bengaluru United and which makes George D’Souza to play for Bengaluru United. The club officially announces on their Twitter handle this Monday about the short-term loan deal of George D’Souza. As Bengaluru United is getting ready for their I-League Qualifier addition of D’Souza will make their chances even high.

George D’Souza begin his football career with Sporting Clube de Goa in 2016. The native Goan Left-Back Scored 4 goals in his 20 appearances and provided 3 assists in the Goa Professional League.

Due to his impressive performs he had a maiden call-up for the ISL side Odisha FC last Season. But he will be looking to improve his value through this loan deal. Because had only two appearances for Odisha FC with just 171 minutes field. And also the addition Sahil Panwar this year puts competition for his position in Odisha FC. The 27-year-old Goan might look to impress the management of his parent club, to seek a regular position in the starting line-up.

If we look at Bengaluru United last season they ended 3rd in their I-LEAGUE 2nd Division group standings behind Bhawanipore FC and eventual winners Mohammedan SC. The Bengaluru based outfit with their new coach Richard Hood looking to bolster their process through the qualifiers.

They recently signed the former 31-year-old Churchill Brothers FC attacker Luka Majcen. Having scored 11 goals and 2 assists in his 15 games in the I-League the Slovenian Striker has a great reputation among the I-league Clubs. With the addition for experience names on board Bengaluru United will surely look to secure a place in the upcoming I-League.
