Paul Pogba out of reach for Barcelona

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

FC Barcelona will not be able to afford French midfielder Paul Pogba. The Catalan giant’s financial situation will not allow them to enter the race for his signature.

This is according to SPORT. The report suggests that Barcelona will be out of the race for Paul Pogba. However, the club is not in a position to afford his salary and the agent fee for Mino Raiola.

Paul Pogba, who is currently a player for Manchester United is out of contract in 2022. This means that clubs can start negotiating with him for a transfer from January. This has prompted his agent Mino Raiola into work. As a result, the superagent has already presented his client to multiple clubs including Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus.

BARCELONA CANNOT AFFORD POGBA

Manchester United have been trying their best to renew the contract with Pogba. However, as it stands, there is no progress in the negotiation. It now looks that the 28-year-old will leave Manchester for free in the summer.

The report suggests that Barcelona have made contacts with the Frenchman about a possible move. The Blaugrana are looking to add more strength in their central midfield and Pogba is one of the best around. However, the financial situation will not permit them to make it possible.

The club has been facing financial difficulty which forced them to not renew the contract of club legend Lionel Messi. In such a situation paying the massive salary of Pogba and the agent fee for Raiola is going to be tough. There is also the issue of Pogba showing his desire to play for the rival Real Madrid in the past.

And it now mostly looks like Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG will be remaining in the pursuit of Pogba. The Worldcup winner can officially start negotiating with other clubs from summer. Unless there is a change of heart, it now looks that Paul will be leaving Manchester United.
