The best Juventus XI that won the Scudetto this decade

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Last weekend Inter Milan, under the legendary manager Antonio Conte, managed to win the Serie A title after diminishing Juventus’ nine years of dominance.

With four matches still to play, the Nerazzurri are 13 points ahead of the second-place Atalanta who have 69 points in 34 games. However, Juventus are currently fighting to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the next season after losing the title of ‘Champions of Italy’.

Between 2011/12 and 2019/20, Juventus have won nine straight Scudetto in a row, which is an unprecedented achievement. The players and managers came and went but the Bianconeri kept on winning the Scudetto one after the others. We created the best eleven of the Old Lady who are playing or have played in these nine years.

The Best Juventus XI in the last nine years:

We picked up the 3-5-2 formation for this team. Unsurprisingly, it has to be Gianluigi Buffon between the sticks. Buffon is one of the best goalkeeper of all time who has won almost everything including the 2006 World Cup. However, he has missed out on the Champions League.

In the defence, there is nobody better than the famous BBC – Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, and Giorgio Chiellini. Jose Mourinho’s comment rightly points out that Chiellini and Bonucci could be a professor of defence in Harvard University. These three are the masters of keeping clean sheets at their best.

In the midfield three, we choose Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba. Football fans experienced the most exciting football during the time of these three in midfield. They had the tenacity and fighting spirit of Vidal, the creativity and the driving runs of Pogba, and the calming influence and smooth passing of Pirlo.

On the right-wingback, it can be controversial, however, it is Dani Alves. Even though he played only one season for the Bianconeri, he was one of the best right-backs in the world. On the left-wingback it is Alex Sandro, he has been the most consistent performer for the Old Lady and we should not forget about his quality.

In the forward position, it must be Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala. Ronaldo is one of the best footballers who ever played football and Dybala is also a great player. On his day he can kill any top teams in the world.

Final XI: Gianluigi Buffon; Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini; Dani Alves, Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Alex Sandro; Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala.
