Top Premier League teams, including Arsenal, interested in Brighton midfielder

An exclusive report on Caught Offside claims that Arsenal are interested in signing Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba. The 20-year-old has been one of the Seagull’s standout players and is developing into a promising Premier League midfielder.

Arsenal may need to sign at least one player for that role at the end of this season, and Baleba has now emerged as an option for them. However, they will face competition from Liverpool and Manchester United for his signature.

As far as Arsenal is concerned, they would like Baleba to spend at least another season at Brighton. But if they wait, he might become more expensive to sign.

Arsenal seem to love players from Brighton

Arsenal is a team that likes to shop at Brighton. The Gunners have already poached Ben White and Leandro Trossard from the South Coast club and continue to monitor their players closely. The north London club were also reportedly linked to Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister, before they made their moves to Chelsea and Liverpool respectively.

Both signings from Brighton have performed well and have been in top form for Arsenal since moving to London. This is encouraging for the Gunners, who have identified another player from Roberto de Zerbi’s side to add to their squad.

Baleba rose up to the occasion

With Mac Allister and Caicedo departing last summer, Brighton needed new midfielders, especially a defensive midfielder. They signed Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Dortmund, but he quickly became excess to requirements, once Baleba burst onto the scene.

The Arsenal linked player made his debut for Brighton in matchweek 6 of the PL, just days after securing a €27 million transfer from Lille. Baleba has so far made 33 appearances for the Seagulls in all competitions. Out of these, 23 have been in the PL and 14 have been starts.

The 20-year-old is certainly one to look out for. It looks like only a matter of time before he makes a move to a big club.
