Bakayoko want permanent Milan stay

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Former Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko has shared his desire to make a permanent switch to AC Milan. The midfielder is currently in the Milan team after moving there this summer on loan from Chelsea.

For Bakayoko life has been hard ever since his move from Monaco in 2017. The 27-year-old only made into the Chelsea team in his first season and was later sent on loan moves to multiple clubs including AC Milan.

The French midfielder now feels that it is time to have more stability in his career. This is according to the press conference the player had when he was revealed as an AC Milan player for the coming season.

ALWAYS ON THE MOVE

Bakayoko was part of the famous Monaco team that won the Ligue 1 and reached the Champions League semi-final in the 2016/17 season. Like many of his teammates, the 27-year-old also earned a big-money move due to his performance as Chelsea signed him.

But things have not gone as planned for the defensive midfielder. He found it hard to adjust in the premier league and was loaned to AC Milan in 2018/19. Though his time in Italy was decent, the club didn’t want to make the move permanent.

He was again sent out on loan to his former club Monaco in the 2019/20 campaign and to Napoli in the 2020/21 campaign. Though he was able to get minutes, it was not enough to push for a permanent deal. Chelsea on the other hand is not even considering the player and have again loaned him off to AC Milan this season.

BAKAYOKO DESPERATE FOR MILAN STAY

Currently, Bakayoko is on a two-year loan with an option to buy at AC Milan. The Rossoneri are back in the Champions League season and is looking to strengthen their squad.

The Frenchman is a decent option in the defensive midfield role and is good at aerial duels. He likes to dribble and is very good at tackling his opposition. With Bakayoko familiar with the city and the club, he expects to make a bigger impact this time around.

At 27-years, the midfielder wants to have more stability. The future with Chelsea for Bakayoko is almost out of the question and if he can find some form with his new club, there is a chance that the move could be made permanent. But with the likes of Sandro Tonali, Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer in the AC Milan team, it will not be an easy task to make it to the playing 11.
