Gokulam Kerala FC ropes in former Mumbai City FC veteran winger Subash Singh from Bengaluru Utd FC.
“Subash Singh is all set to join defending Champions Gokulum Kerala FC”, A source close to Football Express has confirmed.
About Subash Singh
Hailing from Manipur, Subash Singh started his football career from Air India in 2007. After that, he played for many top clubs of India including the “the big 3” of Kolkata Maidan. He won the young player of the year award in 2011-12 for Pune FC. Subash Singh also boasts of having experience of playing in ISL where he represented Mumbai City FC.
He has also experience representing India at U-19 and U-23 levels.
Gokulam Kerala FC season so far
In the pandemic-ridden, I league Gokulam only played a single match where they won against Churchill Brothers by 1-0. The Malabarians this season are in the hunt to continue their form of last season. Currently, they are lying at the 5th position of the table.
I league update
I league was postponed due to a breach in the bio bubble in Kolkata. It is going to start soon as the covid cases in the country are currently decreasing. Other teams are also strengthening their squad with boosting of players. From now on any club can register 6 foreigners out of which 4 will play. Mohammedan FC has already announced Ismar as their 5th foreigner and he is practicing with the team. Also, Komron Tursunov has joined the Churchill brothers from Rajasthan United. Rajasthan United has roped in former East Bengal Goalkeeper Dibyendu Sarkar to strengthen their squad.
Pedro Manzi Joins Rajasthan United
Former I league Golden boot winner Pedro Manzi has joined Rajasthan United FC for the rest of the season. Last season he played for Mohammedan FC in the I league. He also appeared in the I league qualifiers for Bengaluru United FC.His addition will surely be a great boost to the new entrant Rajasthan United FC. They have also acquired the services of former La Liga defender Mauro Dos Santos to strengthen their Defence.
