Gunners title chances look better now than last year

Arsenal

The Gunners beat Tottenham at their own home convincingly. Arsenal were 3-0 up against at spurs at half time. The kind of football being played was something that we had never seen before from Arteta. It appears that the gunners boys believe they have the title as theirs this season. The belief was clearly reflected in the way they played against their bitter rivals.

After last years heartbreak, Arsenal fans must be praying harder than ever before. The hope looks strong in the Gunners section of fans. Their remaining games are against relegation-threatened Bournemouth at home. Their eternal rivals Manchester United at the Theater of Dreams. 15th-placed Everton, who look unconvincing. This shows that the Gunners are more than capable of getting 9 points in the last three matches.

The title is still in Manchester City’s hands. They are playing for their sixth championship in seven seasons, and a clean sweep would mean that. Even so, it seems like Arsenal has survived a week that could have easily seen a title challenge go horribly wrong. They finished the week with two victories, six points, and eight goals scored against two London rivals.

Gunners recent form

They appeared a little shaky following their quarterfinal loss to Bayern. A loss against Aston Villa and Wolverhampton almost made sure that they were out of the title charge. However, they clawed their way back into the title fight against City and Liverpool. Although the losses were harsh, a win against Chelsea made sure that they got their momentum back. Which they did and showcased against spurs.

They were 3 ahead of Spurs and collapsed to concede 2 goals. Son got on the scoresheet, and it looked like Arsenal were going to give away the lead and two points. They endured and made sure they won the match, securing all 3 points. Manchester United look like real threat to the title run. Arsenal looks like a team that could win, but as we have seen over the seasons, never bet against Pep Guardiola and his men. The Gunners will surely give their all to make this an epic ending to the season.
