Manchester United are eyeing a move for Boubacar Kamara from Marseille

Manchester United could be making a move for Boubacar Kamara from Marseille. The Red Devils are reportedly monitoring the situation of the French Midfielder at Marseille. The Frenchman is an important player for the Ligue 1 Outfit as he has appeared 19 times this season for his club. Meanwhile, Kamara has been vital for his club this season as well due to his performances on the field.

He has generated a lot of Interest from several Foreign clubs which now includes Manchester United as well. The English Giants under Interim Manager Ralf Ragnick will be keen on making fresh signings during the 2022 Transfer window. One of the main problems for United this season is their lack of Quality in the Middle of the park.

They have struggled in the League due to their inconsistent Form, but with Ragnick In-charge things at United might change for the betterment. Dennis Zakaria, Kalvin Phillips and Amadou Haidara have all been linked with a move to Manchester United.

The youngster’s contract is also on the verge of expiry and he could be available for free at the end of this season. He can also sign a Pre-contract with any club if he fails to agree fresh terms with Marseille. Kamara rejected deadline-day moves to Wolves and Newcastle United during the summer transfer window of 2021. However, lines of communication with Newcastle have remained open following the club’s Saudi Arabian takeover.

Ralf Rangnick and the Manchester United board have reportedly spotted another Frenchman who they believe can come in and fill the void left by Paul Pogba, most probably next summer.

At present Manchester United deploy both Scott McTominay and Fred as holding midfielders. Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek keep rotating. Veteran playmaker Juan Mata has also remained an option from the bench. 

Reports have claimed that FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United are also in the frame to sign the Frenchman. Kamara has the potential to become one of the most attractive players, who will also be available for free next year.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also reportedly very much in the race to land the 22-year-old. Due to his availability on a free transfer next summer, top European clubs have kept their eyes close to the player. After making his senior debut in 2016, Kamara has registered more than 100 appearances.

He represented France from Under-17 to Under-21 level. Kamara has made 141 appearances for Marseille since debuting in 2016.
