It is 4 more years at Parc des Princes for Neymar as he extended his contract. His renewed contract will keep him with PSG till 2025. This move has vanquished all hopes Barcelona had to bring back their beloved player who left them for €222 million.
Neymar has had a very moderate season scoring 7 goals in 15 appearances in Ligue 1. But that is a mere shadow of his heroics for PSG. He has scored 54 goals in 67 appearances for PSG. That is not far from the 68 goals that he scored at Barcelona in 123 games.
He has been linked for a move back to Barcelona ever since leaving in 2017. The Catalan giants were unstoppable with MSN(Messi-Suarez-Neymar) setting Europe in fire wherever they went. It was in his final season that Barcelona created magic at Camp Nou beating PSG 6-1 in the Round of 16 of the Champions League. Neymar was one of the biggest influencers scoring 2 and assisting the winner, all in the final 10 minutes.
Neymar is happy at PSG

The Brazilian cited that he was happy to extend his contract to be a part of the clubs vision. The hunger is to win more titles with the ultimate aim being the Champions League. Neymar had won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015. Neither Neymar or Barcelona have won it ever since he made his record breaking move.
Barcelona have not crossed the quarter-finals since 2015 while Neymar led PSG to the finals last season. He believes that the club is getting closer to their target, making progress every year.
Barcelona losing control of their transfers
The contract extension would have come as a big blow to Barcelona. The Catalans have convinced Messi to stay for another season but they know that the Neymar deal can change Messi’s mind.
Messi had been linked to PSG though nothing substantial has happened over the deal. PSG’s Mbappe was a target for Barcelona but the flash decided against it. We miss the MSN real bad.
