Real Madrid Make Mohamed Salah Their Top Summer Target

With the start of the transfer window, all kinds of speculations will be heard. But one such transfer rumour that is catching the public eye is Mohamed Salah to Real Madrid. Liverpool ace has been made Real Madrid’s new top Summer Target, according to TalkSports.

Once a Chelsea reject, Mohamed Salah rose to glory once he joined the Premier League champions, Liverpool, in 2017. He moved for a then club-record fee of just £43 million.

Since his arrival, the club has won domestic as well as European trophies. Liverpool is currently leading the Premier League table with 33 points from 17 games. However, that might change if both the Manchester clubs win their remaining matches. They were handed a shocking 1-0 defeat against Southampton away from home.

The 28-year-old Egyptian forward is currently leading Golden Boot race with 13 Premier League goals this season.

It is not at all astounding that big clubs and big names cross paths often. La Liga champions, Real Madrid are one of the prestigious clubs in the world. And any player would love to play for them. Moreover, Los Blancos have the upper hand in this play. With many talented players interested in playing for them, they don’t have to worry about convincing anyone to join them.

Real Madrid has been pursuing Mohamed Salah for a while now. With the uncertainty with Gareth Bale and an injury-prone Eden Hazard, a proper winger would do them good.

For the first time in the club’s history, not a single penny was spent in a summer transfer window. All thanks to the Corona Virus. The pandemic has affected the club financially, eventually affecting the spendings.

Salah had given hints about making a move to La Liga but nothing substantial enough to make something out of it.

“I think Madrid and Barcelona are top clubs. We never know what is going to happen in the future, but right now I’m focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League again with my club.”

Salah said in a recent interview

As mentioned earlier, there are players willing to move to Madrid to fulfill their dream of playing for the La Liga champions. One such player is Kylian Mbappe who grew up idolizing Cristiano Ronaldo. His move to Los Blancos is inevitable. It will be happening one day or the other.

The French starlet’s contract will be expiring in 2022 with contract renewal talks yet to be made. Real Madrid was to make the move if it remained that way. But PSG’s sacking of Thomas Tuchel and appointing of Mauricio Pocchetino as their new manager dealt them a serious blow. Mbappe might consider giving his new manager a chance and might renew his contract.

Having said so, the reason for Real to go after Salah got reignited. But it won’t be a cheap one for them either way. With Salah happy at Liverpool, only a massive offer will lure the club to consider letting go of their star man.
