United to snatch Brazilian Wonderkid from Barcelona?

Emir of Qatar

Manchester United are looking at Vitor Roque as an option. In recent weeks, there have been reports of Roque going out on loan from Barcelona. United could want to capitalize on this situation. 19-year-old wonderkid Roque joined Barcelona in January. However, due to Lewandowski scoring goals regularly, he has not got enough game time. After moving to Camp Nou in January, the striker has only played 310 minutes in 13 games for Barcelona. Xavi has given him chances, but he has managed to get only 2 goals. Although Roque has not featured enough, Barcelona could look to loan him for more experience.

United named as a potential club on Mundo Deportivo

However, recent reports claim Vitor does not want a loan and would rather go out on a Permanent deal. United are one of the clubs that are seemingly looking at his situation. Roque is on the front page of Friday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, where Manchester United appear as a team that could be interested in Roque. According to Mundo, interested clubs Manchester United, Napoli, OGC Nice, and Lyon have gotten in touch with the Brazilian’s agent to inquire about his circumstances. Real Betis and Sevilla are also involved, along with the four teams, in the transfer chase. If Barcelona fails to register him, he could go out on loan. However, Vitor does not want to leave Barcelona. He has said multiple times that Barcelona is his dream club. United will have to convince him if they want his signature.

As part of the agreement to acquire João Félix, recent rumors have suggested that Roque would be sent to Atletico Madrid; however, neither Barcelona nor the South American’s entourage have any information on this. However, Roque will most likely stay in Barcelona and fight for his spot. Barcelona will look for ways to register him and keep him at the club, as he is a big talent.
