East Bengal has recently signed 35-year-old Spanish centre back Antonio Jose Pardo Lukas ahead of the upcoming season.

Antonio Jose Pardo Lukas started his youth career at Valencia CF. In 2012, Pardo joined Spanish third tier club Recreativo Huelva from Valencia B. Later, he played for several Spanish clubs like Real Oviedo, Hercules CF, La Hoya Lorca, Merida AD, Extremadura, UD Ibiza, CD Badajoz, and Eldense.
Moreover, Pardo helped his former club, Eldense, qualify for the Spanish second division after six long decades. Antonio Jose Pardo Lukas has played more than 100 matches in Segunda Division B. He also has 74 LaLiga 2 appearances and 11 Copa del Rey appearances.
He has spent his entire career playing Spanish football. It is the very first time Pardo will be playing outside his native country.

The 6.1-foot defender is going to play an important role in Cuadrat’s style of play. Using his height, Pardo can easily win aerial duels, which is why he is very effective in dead-ball situations.
