Adama Traore’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur stands on a fine line

As the transfer market is going to close in a few days, Tottenham Hotspur bidding on Adama Traore came as a sudden surprise this summer. However, it is not much of a surprise as Spur’s new manager Nuno Santo has been an admirer of the Spanish international since his Wolves managing days. But, as per AS the deal stands on a fine line as both the clubs have different suggestions upon the payment.

Adama Traore joined Wolverhampton Wanderers back in 2018 as the club paid €18 million to Middlesbrough. Since his addition to the squad, Traore has appeared 134 times for the wolves scoring 10 goals and 18 assists. Following his stats, he is not much of a scorer, but his muscle and speed are all a team wants. He has already played 3 matches this season for the Wolves, but Traore might be playing the next matches for Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham started their Premier League campaign with two wins looks forward to building a stronger forward line. Following which new manager Nuno Santo has made an express request to the board to sign Adama Traore. The Portuguese coach is an admirer of his former player and wants to see him at Spurs this season.

As per the manager’s request, Tottenham Hotspur went to negotiate with the Wolves regarding the signing of Adama Traore. The negotiations were going all good until both the clubs arrived at the discussion of payment. Spurs are willing to sign the winger on a season-long loan with a compulsory purchase option of €46m. While Wolves are against it, wanting to sell the player permanently this season within a range of €40-45 million.

Following this situation, the deal has been kept on stalled until both come to the same terms regarding the transfer. While, with only a few days left in the transfer market, Spurs have very little time to seal the deal.
