Ajax and Juventus to fight for AS Roma defender Rick Karsdorp

In subpar

Ajax are close to beating Juventus for Dutch defender Rick Karsdorp. Following a fallout between Karsdorp and Mourinho, Karsdorp is expected to leave the club this winter. Rick Karsdorp has been accused of being a traitor by Jose Mourinho. He is accused of betraying his club teammates just before the World Cup.

Juventus in the midst of these gets the opportunity of signing the fullback for themselves. They intend to take the player on loan until the end of the season. If Karsdorp performs well with the Bianconeri, Juventus will make the deal permanent.

CLUBS THAT MIGHT GO FOR RICK KARSDORP

According to certain reports, Ajax wants to bring Rick Karsdorp into their squad after the season ends. This makes it difficult for Juventus as AS Roma will like to hand over the defender to the Dutch side. Roma will like to avoid selling the Dutch to their rivals which might strengthen their squad. Ajax has already made a contract as per reports and the transfer might happen soon.

Even though Ajax’s pursuit of Rick Karsdorp might happen real soon, Roma might have some different plans in mind. A January transfer of the player might not happen anymore as Roma currently doesn’t intend to do so. Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport say Roma is trying to decrease the tension within the club. They are trying to mend the bond between Karsdorp and Mourinho and want to maintain a good atmosphere within the locker room.

Even though Ajax and Juventus trying to sign the Dutchman, they might have to wait until the end of the season. Roma is currently 7th on the league table and struggling to get into the top 4. They will have to face Bologna next year on January 4.
