Nisha, 11-year-old Indian Girl to be sponsored by Chelsea Women FC

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

As the occasion says, Nisha, 11-year-old, a young girl from India is getting sponsored by ‘Plan International UK’, a Global Children’s Charity partnered with the renowned Club Chelsea FC Women as the ‘Football for change’ campaign.

The purpose of the sponsorship is to, ‘#ChooseToChallenge gender inequality and discrimination – for a future where all girls are heard and their potential fulfilled’. As the purpose says, vanish the gender inequality and discrimination and in return find the potential future for girls who are to be uplifted.

The intention is to Sponsor Nisha under Child Sponsorship, who loves to go to school, has a great interest in learning Hindi poems and making friends which ultimately supports Nisha’s Community by ‘boosting immunization, connecting water pumps, diminishing child marriage and helping more children go to school’.

Along with Nisha, one more girl from Indonesia named Bella is getting sponsored under the same campaign & purpose which encourages her and other children & their families have been sustained throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The assistance offered to the village includes catering cleaning equipment, stationery, school bags as well as many other services.

Chelsea FC Women’s Captain, Magdalena Eriksson has happily embraced the decision. She said, “It’s great to be able to support girls like Nisha and Bela across Indonesia and India through Plan International’s sponsorship programme,’ ‘We are thrilled to welcome our new signings to the team just in time for our game“.

The club further asks its fans to support ‘Football for Change’ by sponsoring a child to help the sporting arena. As Chelsea FC Women side believe every child deserves a fair spring in life as not each child is born with equal luck. Especially being a girl it’s even more difficult to be safe anywhere and to be in charge of your body. As the child is sponsored, they tend to rise in an in-noxious atmosphere where they can Play, Learn and flourish. Ultimately we can witness the development of the kids through their actions.
