Arsenal have come up with a bid of £46m plus Lucas Torreira for Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic. The Gunners have made the first move to register the signature of the Serbian. Vlahovic is on the radar of a lot of European clubs due to his magnificent performances for Fiorentina, his goal-scoring ability has earned him a lot of appreciation and he is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side are showing signs of a strong team which is capable of winning major silverwares. Arsenal have a lot of youngsters in their team who are putting up some amazing performances. They went toe to toe against the defending champions Manchester City on matchday 21 of the PL. The Gunners held the champions on a score-line of 1-1 until Rodri scored City’s winner in extra time. They also took the lead in the first half at the Emirates Stadium on New year’s day.
Their resilience against the defending champions was truly exceptional. Now they are looking forward to possibly bringing a new striker in January. Arsenal have identified Dusan Vlahovic as their main target and they will also involve Lucas Torreira in this deal. Torreira has fell out of favor at Arsenal under the management of Mikel Arteta. He has also struggled during his loan stint at Atletico Madrid but he has emerged as an important player for Fiorentina this season.
Dusan Vlahovic’s eagerness to play in the Premier League might help Arsenal to land the Serbian
The 21-year-old Serbian is one of the youngest and exciting prospects in world football at the moment. Arsenal does not want to miss out on signing Dusan Vlahovic who is already on the radar of top English and European clubs. If Mikel Arteta wants to land the Serbian sensation into his team, then they will have to be as quick as they can.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will use Lucas Torreira in an attempt to bring Dusan to the Emirates Stadium. Fiorentina have not responded to the Gunners offer but they will have to make a decision soon. Vlahovic has already made it clear that he will not stay at the club after his deal with La Viola expires.
Reports in the past suggested that Dusan Vlahovic has already rejected Fiorentina’s contract extension beyond 2023. Clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City are also in the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic has found the back of the net 16 times in 20 Serie A games this season for La Viola. He is also the leading goal-scorer in Scudetto and he can end up winning the Serie A Golden Boot.
