According to reports, Bayern Munich set an eye on the French striker Randal Kolo Muani. Bundesliga champions requires a striker to replace Robert Lewandowski, who departed the club during the summer transfer window to join FC Barcelona. However Luis Campos, the sporting advisor for Paris Saint-Germain, will also be looking for a striker during the summer transfer window. Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani is one target that the capital club has repeatedly mentioned.

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness wants Muani at Bayern

Kolo Muani has 13 goals and 12 assists in 28 Bundesliga games this season. In addition, he scored 20 goals and 14 assists in 40 total games for 2022/23season. PSG, French giants, will have to fight for the 24-year-old goal scorer. According to Sky Sport Germany (via RMC Sport), Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness wants the Bundesliga champions to pursue Kolo Muani in summer transfer season. With Bayern Munich’s executives under criticism, Hoeneß’s authority may be increasing behind the scenes.

“Uli Hoeneß is a very big fan of Randal Kolo Muani. Hoeneß is involved in the squad planning in the background”

Bayern Munich has shown interest in the French attacker because of his potential to perform in the Bundesliga. Kolo Muani has 20 goals in 40 appearances for Frankfurt this season in all competitions.

Plettenberg arrived with the news that head coach Thomas Tuchel is also interested in Kolo Muani. Currently, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is the top target for Bayern Munich. But Kolo Muani is not far behind because he will be cheaper than the €150 million that Napoli is rumoured to seek for Osimhen, making him more realistic.

Bundesliga Champions might face competition from other teams

However The Bavarian giants are not the only team interested in the Frenchman.

According to Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche:

“It’s normal for a club like Bayern to consider Randal. But he feels very comfortable with us and still has many areas of development in which he can take the step with us. Bayern isn’t the only club considering him”, Krösche told Sky Sport.

Frankfurt will not allow Kolo Muani to leave the club for any transfer money. Therefore, according to rumours, the German club wants the forward to be their most expensive transfer sale.
Frankfurt traded Luka Jovi to Real Madrid for €65 million in 2019, and they’ll be trying to surpass that figure if they sell Kolo Muani this summer.
