Bayern Munich updates as key player returns

Leon Goretzka

Bayern Munich are soon looking to get back their best players on the pitch. The Bavarians had a lot of players injured at the start of the season. Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that some vital players of the squad are missing but should be back soon. Nevertheless, Bayern have made a brilliant start to their Bundesliga campaign. They dismantled Bochum and Frankfurt with ease and now look forward to the challenge against Gladbach.

Nagelsmann gave 2 days off to his players in which they have time to prepare for Gladbach. After 2 matchdays, injury updates are encouraging as players look forward to joining the group. The surprising name is Leon Goretzka who had a knee injury. He is eyeing a return in September, much earlier than the date that was anticipated. The club confirmed that Goretzka has started working with the ball. But it will take him time to return back to full fitness and he will be taking it slow and steady.

Apart from him, Musiala and Davies are also set to make their returns. Matthijs De Ligt has also returned and will most likely partner up with Upamecano in central defence. Serge Gnabry is also back to full fitness and might have a say or two against Gladbach. The news is exciting as fans are eager to see the best possible lineup play as soon as possible. Soon, it will be time for UCL against tough opponents in Barcelona and Milan. Bayern will be looking to make sure that their full squad is intact for selection.

Are Bayern Munich UCL favorites?

Bayern Munich finds themselves in a group of death in the Champions league. The Bavarians will face the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan in two of their toughest tests all season through. Bayern will be hoping to top the group over these 2 giants and must be confident to do so. They have dismantled Barcelona over the years but this time it would not be the same. Bayern’s goal machine Lewandowski is now a Barcelona player and the Bavarians will be hoping to shut him out.

Apart from that, Manchester City, Real Madrid, PSG, and Barcelona are all favorites for the title. These clubs have strengthened themselves over the summer. It is Barcelona who despite the recent beatings, will be looking to make it far away in the UCL. It will surely be a blockbuster season!
