Beckham trying to get Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar in his MLS side

FINANCIAL FAIR PLAY

David Beckham is hopeful of attracting the biggest talents of World football to his Florida based MLS side.

Inter Miami have already attracted the likes of Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain and World Cup Winner Blaise Matuidi. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player is confident that they can attract Neymar Jr, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi in the future.

Inter Miami finished tenth in the League last season and for the next season, they appointed former England Women’s team’s manager Phil Neville. They also signed the former Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs.

Beckham and his Vision for Inter Miami

“When we announced Miami, there was always going to be talk about what players we were going to bring in, whether it was Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar. There was always going to be those discussions. I actually don’t think it’s a tough one for players to decide, to be honest, because it’s a great place.” – David Beckham told ESPN.

Inter Miami will kick off their Major League Soccer 2021 campaign on April 18. They will host Beckham’s former club LA Galaxy in their opening game.

Cristiano Ronaldo is 36-year-old his contract will finish next year with Juventus and it is unlikely that he will move to MLS in the summer of 2022 as he wants to continue at the biggest stage.

Whereas, Lionel Messi will be 34-year-old in the summer and he will play European football as well. So it is unlikely that they will join Inter Miami to play in the MLS any time soon.

If Beckham can bring any of Ronaldo, Messi, or Neymar to his Miami side then it will be huge for the MLS. They will get global attraction and big financial investment. Which will help American football to grow further.
