This time Chelsea is chasing a 19 year old midfielder called Desire Doue. Several media sources are claiming that a transfer move can happen between Desire Doue and Chelsea. The young midfielder is attracting a lot of interest from all over the Europe.
Who is Desire Doue?
Some European clubs are known to produce enormous amount of talents. These clubs are Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Stade Rennes, Southampton, PSV Eindhoven. The top-tier clubs identify talented players and buy them from these clubs. Chelsea is certainly a club that love to spend heavily i the transfer market.
Desire Doue is a young 19 year old player. He is a midfielder of Stade Rennes. He has made 57 senior appearances for the Ligue 1 side. In this season the young midfielder has performed well and has attracted a lot of offers from all over the Europe.
In a interview Rennes midfielder Baptiste Santamaria appreciated Doue’s abilities by saying, “He’s one of a kind: he likes to hit the ball but he’s solid on his feet. Desire’s technical, percussive and physical qualities are quite incredible. When he becomes more consistent, he’ll be unplayable. For his age, he’s the most gifted youngster I’ve seen in my career.“
Previously we have seen that Stade Rennes has produced some talented young stars like Ousmanne Dembele, Eduardo Camavinga and many more. This young kid is certainly a new addition to that list. His teammates often say that his style of playing resembles Zinedine Zidane.
Next destination for Desire Doue
Under the new owner Chelsea has bought a lot of young talented players. This list include Andrey Santos, Cesare Casadei, Angelo Gabriel, Deivid Washington, Alex Matos. This move is indicating that the Blues are investing for the future. It seems that Desire Doue is also a part of their future development plan.

According to WhoScored.com the young midfielder will cost approximately around €21m. They have also predicted that he is the fifth best future French player. The €21m fees will not be a problem for the Blues.

The Blues are heavily investing on young talents. After some loan spells, when these young talented players will be more matured and experienced, the club will give them a chance to play for the starting eleven.
