Bayern expresses interest in securing a new contract for their 22-year-old defender. However, Davies also attracts the attention of Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester City. Thus, adding further intrigue to the transfer rumors surrounding the talented player.
Chelsea has had the privilege of having one of the all-time great left-backs in their ranks, Ashley Cole. The retired Chelsea star was famous for his expertise in defending. Thus, making his opinion on Alphonso Davies of significant interest to Blues supporters.

Cole said about Davies:
“He’s so direct, he’s quick, he can go inside or outside. I played against him in the MLS and, obviously, he couldn’t combine there with players of the quality Bayern have.”

His physical attributes certainly make him appear well-suited for the Premier League. However, it’s worth noting that, at present, Chelsea may have some ways to go to reach the level of competitiveness that Davies is currently experiencing with Bayern Munich.

However, continuous injury problems can raise concerns about his long-term competition for a place in the starting XI. Having a talented backup like Alphonso Davies could provide valuable depth and competition within the squad.
