England supporters warned ahead of qualifier against Italy

England fans traveling to Italy for upcoming football matches were given a warning to be cautious. Due to a threat from an Ultras group, raising security concerns. An incident occurred before the Champions League last-16 second-leg tie in Naples between Eintracht Frankfurt ultras. Approximately 200 Napoli fans, resulting in chaos and mayhem.

There was a violent clash between Eintracht Frankfurt ultras and Napoli fans before a Champions League match last week. An email with a threat to the England supporters’ team is below. So that they don’t participate in a friendly match against their Italian counterparts.

“Be warned…we will be there, 60 ultra to get you. We are coming for you…you advertise this game for us to see where you’ll be… Stupid man you are. We will be there.”

Due to safety concerns stemming from a threatening email sent to the England supporters’ team, the friendly match against their Italian counterparts has been cancelled. Garford Beck, the manager of the English supporters’ team, has described the email as “very sinister”. He has forwarded a copy to Italian authorities.

Precautions to take to ensure safety of the England fans

To ensure the safety of the 2,500 ticket holders from the England Supporters’ Travel Club, special coaches arrangement was present from the Italian administration ahead of England’s European Championship qualifying fixture against Italy at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The Football Association (FA) has advised fans to make use of the special coach service. This is arranged with the help of the Italian administration for the 2,500 ticket holders from the England Supporters’ Travel Club. They may also be available after the match. They have also asked fans to represent England in a positive manner while in Naples. The statement said: “To assist with the safety and security of all England travelling supporters the Italian Police have requested and are strongly advising, that England supporters use locally organised coach transport to travel to the stadium.”

To ensure safety and security during the England vs Italy match, English police will be present at Naples to support the local authorities. This comes after arresting eight people following the violent clashes between fans of Napoli and Frankfurt during last week’s Champions League match.
