Imagine both playing together: Arsenal eyes 2024 dream signings

Arsenal is on a hunt for attackers as the Gunners eye two sensational players for their 2024 challenge.

After coming painfully close to winning the Premier League last term, Arsenal found themselves lacking attack missing out on the title by just two points, so knowing that it is no surprise that the Gunners are on the lookout for new explosiveness in attack.

With the transfer window open for the past two weeks the North London Club is moving. And after signing Lucas Nygard, the side is on the hunt for some firepower at the front.

Given that, the Gunners were linked to many attackers in recent times. Be it, Benjamin Sesko, Swedish forward Viktor Gyökeres, or Spain’s rising sensation as a winger Nico Williams.

Out of all these, Spanish winger Nico Williams is the one gaining the most attention. The 21-year-old moving to the Emirates might be the best move. All the Gunners would need is someone to play alongside him.

Arsenal 2024 transfer updates

A report from Spain indicates just the right player for that. Reports say that The Gunners have made a firm interest in Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen who currently plays for Napoli. Osimhen is set to leave Italy this summer.

Further, the report claims that the 21-year-old is all set to land in the Premier League. Although ‘several clubs’ are looking for him, Arsenal and Chelsea are the lead runners where Osimhen could land.

Moreover, the Neapolitans are waiting for a side to pay out the exit clause for the striker worth €120m meaning a cost of £102m. However, there is a 100% chance that this fee would be negotiated.

Nevertheless, the deal is going to be an expensive one for Arsenal to start with in 2024. But if the Emirates wants to end the long wait for the title and cover those remaining two points gap, paying the price for Osimhen will help.

Moreover, he with the possibility of Williams alongside will make an explosive combo for the Gunners.

How adding Victor Osimhen and Nico Williams can do wonders for the Gunners?

Okay, we should not get ahead of ourselves as neither of the both have signed a deal with the Gunners yet. None of the duo has arrived in North London yet but there seems a high chance so we can look at what both playing together at the front could bring for the side.

Anyways, the main reason clubs after the “Nigerian nightmare” Victor Osimhen is his goalscoring abilities.

Regardless of having somewhat of a bad season, the 21-year-old found the back of the net 17 times and provided four assists last season in 32 appearances. And before that, Osimhen scored 31 goals alongside five assists in just 39 appearances.

His ability to find the net would surely help other creative players of Arsenal shine. The likes of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka would love a finisher like him at the front as they work their magic through the defensive line.

Now pair all this with Nico Williams in the mix and you will have an attack that could very well be unstoppable in the English League. That’s because the Spanish sensation provided an extraordinary 19 assists as a winger to go with his 8 goals last season. This implies that Williams had a goal involvement every 1.37 games for his Athletic Bilbao side.

Having him on the right and Saka on the left would very well give Osimhen the best scoring chances.

Ultimately, if the Gunners get the chance to sign Osimhen they should do it. Also if they can bring Williams to the mix the drought for the title may very well end this time for Arsenal.
