Indian defender Hormipam Ruivah joins Kerala Blasters FC

Kerala Blasters FC are happy to announce the signing of the young defender. Hormipam Ruivah joins Kerala on a 3-year deal that will keep him with the club till 2024.

The 20-year-old comes from Somdal. Manipur, and is into the game since his childhood. He has played an integral part in Indian Arrows 2019-20 season. He were also a part of U18 side of Roundglass Punjab FC when he earned his call-up to the U18 then he joined Indian Arrows on loan from Punjab FC.

Hormipam also played a played a major role in Minerva Punjab’s maiden Hero Elite U18 League in the 2018-19 season. Ruivah were also a Indian team that won the 2019 SAF U18 championship in Nepal. In the spell with Indian Arrows Hormipam started 14 matches in defense. The youngster have also shown his consistent performance in his 9 appearances for Punjab FC in the I-League playing more than 600 minutes.

Hormipam’s take on joining the yellow army

Kerala Blasters sporting director Karolis Skinkys welcomed Ruivah to the club in hope of some excellent performances by the player.“I am happy to have a talented player like Hormipam join Kerala Blasters FC. Being the ‘Man of the Match’ on his professional debut, I believe he will bring out some solid performances along with the support of everyone here at the club and especially the Yellow Army,” Skinkys said.

Hormipam is also excited to join the Kerala Blasters. As he has heard a lot about the the hospitality of the fans and were exited to join the club. Ruivah gave the fans commitment to work hard and to do his possible best to in the League with Kerala Blasters. Hormipam Ruivah cannot wait to begin his journey with Kerala Blasters.

It would be a treat to watch what Hormipam brings to Kerala Blasters and to the Indian Super League as well.
