ISL: Three Indian players released by ATK Mohun Bagan

The Indian Super League introduced Mohun Bagan in 2020 as a promotion from I-League. At that time, ATK, an active franchise club of the league, joined hands with Mohun Bagan to form a joint venture ‘ATK Mohun Bagan’.

After an excellent debut season in ISL season, ATK Mohun Bagan have released three of their Indian Players on June 15. The Mariners lost the League shield and the League title to the Winners Mumbai City FC. However, winning the runners-up title of the campaign.

Recently the ATK Mohun Bagan have announced the release of midfielder Michael Regin and Jayesh Rane along with forward player Komal Thatal prior to the coming ISL season.

New Signing and Release by ATK Mohun Bagan

The Club has completed signing Mumbai City FC custodian Amrinder Singh on a free transfer. He played 23 matches, keeping 10 clean sheets for the Islanders during the last ISL campaign.

They have also roped in attacking midfielder Liston Colaco from Hyderabad FC on a two-year deal. During his spell at HFC, he scored twice while providing 3 assists.

The club has parted ways with midfielder Jayesh Rane. He has made 169 successful passes with almost 64% passing accuracy and 236 touches last season. Another midfielder Regin Michael who has played 10 fixtures for the club with 85% passing accuracy is being released by the Kolkata-based club. Komal Thatal is one of those players who will be moving out of the club. He did not get enough chances to play, although he only featured in 5 fixtures.
