Juventus is not likely to sign Angel Di Maria

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Juventus are not willing to put all their eggs in one basket and sign Angel Di Maria. The club knows the Argentine has many other options on the table.

Di Maria spent seven fine years in the French capital and is now a free agent. His experience comes from playing for a variety of teams like Benfica, Manchester United, and Real Madrid. These factors explain why Bianconeri is after the winger for a while.

Di Maria’s PSG departure

The former Real Madrid player has stepped up for Paris in 294 games and netted the ball 91 times. After Paris Saint-Germain clinched their 10th League 1 title, Di Maria opted for a new challenge.

“He will be remembered by supporters as a player with an irreproachable state of mind, who has shown an unfailing commitment to defend our colors,”

-Nasser Al-Khelaifi, PSG’s president.

The French giants are in shambles right now, sacking their manager Mauricio Pochettino. After a humiliating UCL exit and sudden under-performances in the French League, the decision was made.

Juventus prefers David Neres

David Neres, a 25-year-old Brazillian is currently on their transfer list if they fail to land Di Maria. The Shakhtar Donetsk forward is currently in Ukraine. But hasn’t played much due to Ukraine’s war against Russia.

Neres is only 25 years old compared to Di Maria’s 34. This is a huge advantage for Juve if he happens to shine in the Serie A.

However, Allegri thinks investing in experience brings more silverware making Di Maria the ideal signing. Sadly for Juventus, the Champions League winner is more likely to opt for other clubs.

Should Juventus land David Neres?

The Bianconeri doesn’t have a lot of options on the market right now. The cost-effective business the Serie A champions run doesn’t allow them to sign big names.

With smaller players on the market like David Neres, they should go all in and sign them. Juventus still has other chances like Dominico Berardi who is opting for a transfer from Sassuolo.

The Italian In 286 appearances with the Neroverdi, has 109 goals and 78 assists with an incredible form. He has also established himself as a key member of the Italy national team, winning the Euros in 2020 with them.

In conclusion, the above stats should raise eyebrows at the Allianz Arena, Turin, and get them running after the wingman with their contract papers.
