Mikel Arteta wants Portuguese Midfielder in the Squad

Neves

Arsenal may well be active in the midfield market in the January transfer window. The Gunners do appear to be lacking in midfield right now. They want the Portuguese Midfielder.

Midfield Problems

Kai Havertz isn’t productive as a midfielder, and it’s becoming nearly impossible to keep Thomas Partey healthy right now. Fortunately, Arsenal may target a number of these players when the winter transfer market opens.

Ruben Neves is one player who is heavily in connect to Arsenal; Fabrizio Romano claims that this is probably because Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the Portuguese midfielder.
Romano revealed on The Debrief that Arteta is a big fan of Neves and that, at this point, he has been pestering Edu about signing the £47 million player for years.

Arteta wants Portuguese Midfielder

Romano disclosed his knowledge of the midfield player and Arsenal.
“I believe Mikel Arteta is the reason we have these connections. According to what I’ve been told, Ruben Neves has always been a favorite player of Mikel Arteta’s. Since the player’s time at Wolves, he has always been valued, and during meetings with the directors and Edu over the past two or three years, he has consistently mentioned the midfielder’s name. However, at this time, no negotiations are taking place, Romano stated.
Since Mikel Arteta took over as manager of the Gunners, Arsenal has essentially supported him; thus, if Arteta determines that Neves is the right player for him, Arsenal ought to go acquire him.

Important Signing

Arsenal needs to sign Arteta in January if he believes Ruben Neves may be the difference between winning the league and finishing second. Arteta has repeatedly shown that he knows what’s best for his team.

Of course, it’s easier said than done to close these kinds of agreements, but with enough determination, everything is possible, especially when a major league like Arsenal is involved.
