Mumbai Knights FC began their IWL 2023 season with a bang, defeating Kahaani FC 1-0 to take all three points.

Priyanka’s first-half goal was enough to secure the victory. Although the score appears to be 1-0. Mumbai Knights FC could have easily won 2-0/3-0. If they had taken their chances and Priyanka’s second goal had not been ruled out.

Nonetheless, with three points. Mumbai Knights FC made a strong start to their Group stage campaign. Being one of four teams to win their first match.

Heavyweights Gokulam Kerala FC, Sports Odisha, Misaka United FC, and MKFC all won their first matches.

The MK’ fullbacks Mansi and Pranita were extremely unplayable. As both played great moving forward and at the back in defence. Mansi was the match’s best player.
