1. Mumbai City FC extended the contract of Vinit Rai

For the Islanders this season, the 25-year-old has participated in 19 games in all competitions. Despite occupying a deep midfield position, Vinit managed to score twice in league play. Additionally, he produced up to 24 tackles, seven interceptions. Thirteen clearances, and blocks, demonstrating his all-around ability to perform admirably wherever. Moreover, the Islanders will benefit greatly from having him for the upcoming season. Since they face a formidable challenge in trying to duplicate their stellar performance from this season.

2. Northeast United FC appointed Mandar Tamhane as New CEO

He was the Bengaluru FC’s CEO. And had been with the team for the previous ten years, since it was founded. During that time, he oversaw the club’s transition from the I-League to the ISL. The growth of its youth programme, and numerous victories both on and off the field.

3. East Bengal FC appointed Bino George as their senior team assistant coach

Bino George is an Indian assistant head coach for East Bengal FC. He has extended his contract by three years, keeping him with the team till the end of the 2026 campaign. Moreover, Mr George holds an AFC professional licence. He has been rehired as the Indian Assistant Coach of Emami East Bengal’s first squad. Additionally, he will keep his position as head coach of the club’s reserves and development teams. The 46-year-old Keralan coach is recognised for developing youthful talent. In 2022, he led his state to its sixth Santosh Trophy victory.

4. Kerala Blasters announced the contract extension of Hormipam Ruivah till 2027

Hyderabad FC is planning to extend Lalbiakhlua Jongte’s contract. At Kerala Blasters, Hormipam Ruivah secures a long-term contract extension. Hormipam Ruviah, a defender for Kerala Blasters FC, has committed to a new deal with the team. The long-term contract ensures that he can continue to represent the Blasters until 2027.

Hormipam’s football career is a breathtaking illustration of his commitment and tenacity. Hormipam, who is from the Manipur town of Somdal, plays football with an incredible level of commitment, desire, and enthusiasm. The centre back has made 38 appearances for the club thus far. A total that will undoubtedly rise over the course of his remaining five seasons there.

5. FC Goa to sign Hyderabad defender Odei Onaindia

Odei Onaindia, a 33-year-old Spanish centre back who now plays for Hyderabad FC, is expected to join FC Goa. FC Goa may be happy and delighted about their acquisition of an excellent and seasoned defender as they prepare for the 2023–24 season. Odei Onaindia is a controlled and collected defender on the ball. His defensive awareness and ability to get between the ball and the opponent are his strengths.
